You will be welcomed and received on your arrival by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will be transferred to good hotel and rest. We use Akama hotel or hotel Lo Mustang.If all arrive before 5 PM we can have some trek briefing this evening if not we can have a short 40 minute briefing meeting next day around 9 AM before start sightseeing.

Kathmandu Exploration Day - B
After breakfast in the morning, some bringing and we take you for the Kathmandu sightseeing tour. We are going to do the UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE TOUR today which includes:
Swoyambhunath- The oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley, a beautiful abode for lots of monkeys thus also known as Monkey Temple, is also a perfect vantage point to see Kathmandu valley.
Pashupatinath- A holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Hindu Crematorium, watch as the Hindu dead bodies are cremated in the most unique way in the world; we come across men with ash rubbed body, matted locks and dreaded look which is typical look of a Hindu Holy Men known as Sadhus.
Boudhanath- the biggest Buddhist temple in the world; a site for Tibetan Buddhism where we can visit monasteries, watch the Holy Monks busy in their chanting ritual going around the temple.
Patan Durbar Square- A Medieval Royal Palace area which is also known as the city of fine arts, we can see the finest example of metal and stone carving back to 14th century and also the amazing Nepali Architecture. We will stay at We use Akama hotel or hotel Lo Mustang.

Kathmandu - Lukla 2880 m by helicopter - Phakding 2840 m - B/L/D
Early in the morning we drive to airport ( Kathmandu / Ramechhap) and take a flight to Lukla by fixed wing aircraft, Lukla the gateway to Everest Region accompanied by your trekking guide.
Once on the flight we can enjoy the stunning beauty of the rugged foothills that give way to the snowline of the majestic Himalaya. A lot of the world’s highest mountains including Kanchenjunga III, Lhotse IV and Makalu V and many other snow capped mountains. After enjoying the adventurous flight for about 45 min. to 1 hour, we land in Lukla, an exceptionally beautiful mountain town in the Everest Region where we meet our porters and prepare for the walk of the day to Phakding and further to Manoj another mountain town. The descending walk leads us along the Dudh Koshi River and to Phakding village for the overnight stay at Sherpa Lodge or similar ( nice one – attached bathroom).

Phakding to Namche Bazaar - 3445 meters B/L/D
The early start of the trek of the day takes you on mostly flat and gradual uphill trail along the Dudh Koshi River up to Hilary suspension bridge. From this point your first steep uphill walk on the Everest trail starts which takes you to an extraordinarily beautiful town of Namche, famously known as Namche Bazaar.
On the way to Namche you can enjoy the view of some the Himalayan peaks including Thamserku, Tabuche, Cholatsem, Khumbila – Sacred Mountain which protects the Khumbu region and many other mountains. Get yourself immersed in the beauty of local Sherpa and Buddhist culture, take pictures of yaks, take in the spirituality from the prayer flags along the trail and many more just reach the destination for today to enjoy the more majestic view of Kongde, Kusum Kangri and Thamserku.

Namche Bazaar – Everest View point – Namche Bazaar - B/L/D
A stopover day in Namche for acclimatization. Hike to Everest view point for about two hours uphill and enjoy the view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Amadablam and many other Himalayan peaks. Hike down to Namche and spend rest of the day exploring Namche Bazaar enjoying the local atmosphere. – If you wish can walk up to Everest View hotel ( about 5 hrs round trip).

Namche - Tyangboche 3,800 meters - B/L/D
Munch mountain breakfast early in the morning and start the trek of the day to Tyangboche. Initial part of the walk today is on a mountain flat and downhill trails to Phungi Thanga for about four hours. From there another steep walk for about another two and half hours to take you to the famous Tyangboche.
Once you are in Tyangboche, never miss the opportunity to visit an ancient Tyangboche monastery where you can see the footprint of Milarepa, a famous ancient Tibetan yogi and poet from the Kagyupa sect.

Tyangboche - Dingboche - 4,300meters - B/L/D
Pave your trail through Diboche, crossing Imja Khola to Pangboche and to Dingboche – today’s destination. As you walk on the Nepali flat – sometimes up and sometimes down, enjoy the enchanting view of the snow capped mountains which is luring you even closer to the Everest. The view and the fresh mountain air is enough to make you forget about your tiredness. Engage yourself in the observation of the incredible beauty of the Himalayan atmostphere.

Dingboche - 4,300meters Acclimatization Day - B/L/D
At this altitude, the human body needs time to adjust to the environment so take your day to acclimatize to the high altitude climate. Rather than just sitting around, we encourage you to attempt one of the two hikes we recommend.
The short and best option is to ascend the hill behind Pheriche, have a great view from the top will just blow your mind. Your four hours effort to reach the top will be eventually rewarded.

Pheriche - Lobuche 4,900meters - B/L/D
Be thrilled with additional mountain views as you walk on your pace along the Himalayan trail. Enjoying and integrating the mountain atmosphere into your life, you are heading yet another count of miles towards the famous base camp of the world’s tallest peak. The view is just a catalyst to take you to the Base camp. Communicate and listen to your body and go slow. After observing the memorials for the mountaineers at Dughla pass finally you reach another beautiful mountain village of Lobuche for the overnight stay.

Lobuje – Gorak Shep 5160 m - Everest Base Camp 5365 m - B/L/D
Today is a long day as we walk to Gorakshep, check into lodge, have lunch and walk to the Base Camp and return back to Gorakshep for stay over. The most exciting thing about today is that you are going to be at the base camp. Walking along the Khumbu glacier – the highest situated glacier in the world, and crossing the Changri glacier, we walk ahead towards Gorakshep.
After the lunch at Gorakshep, we walk to the Everest Base Camp, enjoy the view, take lots of pictures, selfies. Return back to Gorakshep for the overnight stay.
Stay at a mountain Lodge. – Everest INN ( bit basic here).

Note: Depends on whether once we reach to Gorekshep we will decide we do Kalapatthar first or Everest base camp first.

Gorakshep - Kala Pathar 5555 meters and later fly to Lukla and to Kathmandu all by helicopter. B, D
Early morning wake up to go to the highest point of the trek, Kalapatthar – a magnificent view point to the world’s tallest Everest and several other mountains in the Himalayan range. It takes about Three hours to reach the top. After the sunrise, hike down to Gorakshep; have your breakfast later, depends on whether we will fly back to Lukla by Helicopter, refuel in Lukla and fly to Kathmandu, by 2- 3 Pm this day all of we should be in Kathmandu ( the flight will be multiple ad we may need 3 or 4 helicopters) stay in Kathmandu, Lo Mustang or Akama hotel.
Later, in the evening, we go for a Nepali dinner with cultural show together and talk about the Everest Base Camp trek.
Departure Day - B
You will be transferred to airport at your schedule for the final departure as today is the last day of our 12 Days Everest Base Camp Heli Trip.
